I know I haven’t been posting much (if any) drama related posts lately, but I kind of fell behind a little, but I’m going to try to get back to it in November (while doing a readathon, NaNoWriMo and getting out of my reading slump, yeah, it’s a little ambitious).
The dramas I’m going to mention aren’t necessarily dramas that are starting in November nor are they all still running though some are. I’ve tried to keep the count on the smaller end to not completely overwhelm myself.
Lastly, I’m not necessarily going to finish all (or any) of these dramas this month, but I want to make progress in them at the very least.
So, here’s what I’ll be watching this month!
The first one I’m going to mention I’ve already begun but want to get back into and continue it as I really enjoyed it so far. The humor is great and I really like the characters so hopefully I’ll be making some progress here.
Hit The Top a.k.a. The Best Hit, Greatest One Shot, Best Punch, The Big Blow
Lee Ji Hoon and Choi Woo Seung are two childhood friends who also happen to be preparatory students for the civil service exam, although Ji Hoon has a secret dream to be a singer and songwriter. One day they meet Yoo Hyun Jae, a 90s popular but problematic member of a popular idol group, who accidentally travel through time to the year 2017 from the year 1993. Thus, begin the story ofpassion, love, and friendship among 20s youth in the entertainment industry.
This next one I think I’ll be able to finish this month, at least I really hope I do because I really like it and I want to finish it and see how it all ends! The soundtrack is also really awesome!
The Guardians a.k.a. Lookout, Sentinel, Watchmen, Protector
Story about a group of people who get together to overcome their pain of having lost their loved ones to crime.
This next one I’m really enjoying so far and I love the atmosphere, music and it is kind of giving me Healer vibes (which is my all-time favorite Korean drama so that’s a good thing!) and I can’t wait to see what happens!
A supernatural romance about a woman who can see the future in her dreams, and a prosecutor who fights to stop these future events from happening. The heroine has dreams about unfortunate events that will happen to other people, and the hero is a prosecutor who runs around trying to prevent her tragic visions from coming true.
This next one I’ve only watched a couple of episodes of, so I haven’t completely made up my mind yet on how much I enjoy it but I do like it so far so I probably will continue it. I really like the women in this drama so that’s a big bonus!
20th Century Boy and Girl a.k.a. No Sex And the City, Twentieth Century Boy and Girl
The heartwarming romantic comedy is about the friendship and love lives of three single virgins born in 1983. Their romantic lives begin when the boy they liked in their youth shows up one day. They live in Oksu-dong in rundown apartments, and the warm human drama will be about neighborly affection, and the meaning of home, family, and friendship.
I actually haven’t started this next drama, but it looks so good so I’m hoping to pick it up as soon as I finish The Guardians because I’m really antsy to watch it.
Because It’s My First Life a.k.a. This Life Is Our First
Nam Se Hee is a single man in his early 30’s. He has chosen to not marry. He owns his home, but he owes a lot on his mortgage.
Yoon Ji Ho is a single woman in her early 30’s. She does not own a home and envies those that do. She has given up on dating due to her financial struggles. Yoon Ji Ho begins to live at Nam Se Hee’shouse. They become housemates.
This next one I’m only picking up if I decide one of the above dramas isn’t working for me or I finish Hit The Top as well otherwise I’m going to try to get to it in December.
Temperature of Love a.k.a. Degree of Love
Hyun Soo is an aspiring drama series writer. She uses “Jane” as her username and begins chatting with username “Chakhan Seupeu” (‘Good Soup’) online. “Chakhan Seupeu” is actually Jung Sun. He dreams of becoming a French food chef. They meet in real life.
That’s it for now, like I said the plan isn’t necessarily to finish these dramas but to make progress in them. I’m not really watching any western tv-series at the moment (nothing personal, but some are just never-ending and others just don’t interest me. I like dramas that wrap-up in one season) and I’m abmysal at watching movies but if I do come across any I want to watch or do watch I’ll be sure to post about it then.
What are you planning on watching? And do you have any suggestions to me in terms of series* and/or movies I should watch?
*Preferbly something that’s already finished I’m horrible at keeping up with series over multiple seasons.
