Pattern Haul: November

Originally the plan was to not buy all that much sewing related in November as I had some other purchases that I wanted to make. However, there was a sale at Kwik Sew and Vogue patterns (all owned by McCall) so… I got a few.

Thk3720_ae first one I got was Kwik Sews K3720 Misses’ Batwing Tops, I really low batwing shaped tops and I have one I bought ages ago on ebay that I love. However I wanted some more and when I came across this I made up my mind.

I like that I can make both short and long-sleeved versions of this and I’ll probably try and make a long-sleeved one pretty soon.

Next up is another one by Kwik Sews, this time it’s K4138 Misses’ Overall Jumper and Jumpsuit. I got this because of the dress version, as I’m not really a jumpsuit person. I want to make the dress, most likely in black or dark grey. I think it k4138_awill look really cute paired with some ankle boots. I’d probably wear it with a sweater, since it’s winter now, but I could wear it during the summer and spring as well.

Lastly we’ve got one that had me wowed from the moment I saw it. I love uneven hems (don’t ask me why, I don’t know) so when I saw this pattern I was pretty much sold.

The pattern in question? Vogue’s V8956  Misses’ Wrap Skirts. I’ll admit that it was the red skirt on the cover that v8956_adrew my attention first and I really want to make something like it in a similar colour. I’m thinking red plaid most likely. I also like the pencil-style skirts in this and I feel like I might end up making quite a few of these.

So that’s my pattern haul for November. I don’t expect there to be any more this month as I already have plenty of projects I want to make. I might end up shopping for some fabrics though, now that I’ve bought these patterns. Especially for the dress and skirt. I think I have some fabric that would work for the batwing top, but we’ll see.

Have you bought any patterns that you’re just dying to try out? I’d love to see them!
